Wow Wall of Text!

Workout:

62 minutes on cross trainer
612 calories burned

Yay! I have broken my lazy weekend cycle! I had a 2 hour break in students today (I teach flute on Sat). Usually when I have a break like that I practice, run over to my Dad's house, or walk across the street to grab lunch. I planned it out so that I could practice before my first student so that on my break I could run to the Y and get in a work out. The Y on that side of town is new and so much more fancy than my Y. I entertained thoughts of going there all the time but it's just too much driving for Ara and I to be practical. I was a little nervous since it was new to me. I went out on to the gigantic field of cardio machines and hopped on the first one that looked like an elliptical. It wasn't an elliptical! I knew that within my first few strides. This was some sort of hybrid stair climbing elliptical thing. It was intense, I felt it in my legs immediately! Trying to save face though, I entered in my stats and time (60 minutes 2 minutes cool down) and set to work. My heart rate shot up, unlike Friday when I had to really work for it. 3 minutes in and my heart rate was 164 and I was struggling a little. I wouldn't give in though! 30 minutes in I hit my stride and it was feeling really good. You know how your chest gets that open feeling and your legs stop burning. This Y has rows and rows of machines all facing the same direction and I was self conscience about the people behind me. My workout pants keep sliding down my butt which is sort of a problem. Hold up pants with one hand and rotate so that one arm doesn't do all the work! The good thing was that my feet didn't fall asleep on this machine. I've never mentioned it before but my feet get sort of numb on the elliptical and even a little on the bikes. I thought at first that it was my shoes but I tried a different pair and it still happened. I don't know what it is and I've been meaning to ask fellow ellipticalers if it happens to them but I always have ear buds in! Besides I haven't seen any others that stay on so long. Maybe it's bad to do an hour on one machine? I have to sort of wiggle my toes a lot and when it gets bad I try to pick up my feet a little on each revolution. I have defective feet. Figures, since feet freak me out. I had to shower at the Y when I was done. I usually go home and shower but I had another student. I don't especially enjoy showering in public and changing at the locker but I did feel really good leaving all clean and good smelling. I broke my calories burned record today and I felt really great! Won't the trainer be so proud!

Tomorrow morning (6:30 am yikes!) I have to be over at my Sister's house to watch my nephew while she works. That.. is.. so... early! I'll live as long as I get some sleep tonight. I will do some laundry and hang out with my nephew (another crazy you tube video coming maybe?) then afterwards I might grab another workout on that machine! I will be on that side of town so maybe, that is if it won't make A mad that he is stuck at home with the little one. She should be down for a nap at that time so hopefully he will be chilling at home, happy and relaxed. I have been averaging 3 workouts a week and I want to bump that up to at least 5. Plus I will eliminate sluggish Monday syndrome! I just feel really great this week, I don't want to lose that. I started a new paragraph because I thought I was done talking about working out. I am becoming one of "those" people. Too bad. My blog my topics!

We went out to eat at one of my favorite places, Pew Wei. It was nice of A to suggest it, I know he doesn't love asian food. The sky was beautiful, the sun was setting and shooting rays through the puffy clouds. The other direction behind the mountains the sky was dark and had intermittent lightning. The weather was mild and the breeze was cool. A nice night anywhere but in Tucson a REALLY nice summer night! Ara has been carrying her horse blankie with her every where. It's so adorable how she cuddles it and pets it. She is really into horses and ponies. She has asked me to paint her a horse picture for her room. I am excited about that because horses have always been a challenge for me. I need to finish her birthday invitation this weekend. Maybe I can work on that tomorrow on the laptop while I am hanging with Joey. A went to sleep as soon as we got home from dinner, I don't think he is sleeping well. It was nice that we were getting along today. When we are both tired we tend to bicker all weekend. I actually feel ok but my cat tried his hardest to keep me awake last night. The little furry punk! I should stop writing and clean up. The living room looks like a toy tornado hit it!

I don't know who would actually read this mundane wall of text I do enjoy meandering thoughts!

Yummy
